About 3R Demolition
History
3R Demolition’s roots were laid in 1974 when the owners entered into the demolition world. They worked their way up through every level of the industry to know all there is to know about demolition and deconstruction. Throughout their time, they’ve become key players in the movement to promote environmentally friendly and sustainable working methods working in conjunction with Metro Vancouver (formerly Greater Vancouver Regional District) and Used Building Materials Association. In the year 2000, 3R Demolition was formed and has been operating ever since. Our portfolio includes projects such as the MSA Hospital and preparation work at BC Place for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Post 2010 Olympics, we deconstructed the temporary facilities for the Olympic Broadcast Centre achieving a salvage rate of 96%.
Goals
3R Demolition's main focus and goal is to recycle and salvage as much materials from projects whilst at the same time, maintaining an environmentally friendly site. We consider ourselves leaders in this field and keep our team updated and knowledgeable in the latest environmentally sound methods to make sure we don't fall behind when it comes to working sustainably
Job Safety
3R Demolition is proud to be one of only four COR (Certificate of Recognition) certified demolition companies in British Columbia. “This is a voluntary incentive program that recognizes companies who develop and implement health and safety and injury management systems that meet an industry standard. The program rewards employers who take a strategic approach to workplace safety and are committed to reducing both the human and financial costs of workplace injuries”. Our team’s safety is paramount to our organization – “you come to work healthy, you leave work healthy”. We were rewarded for our efforts for workplace safety in 2013 when we won “Best New Entry” and “Best in Construction” at the North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) awards.
